THE JOURNEY

Time is one of few Absolutes.  You can’t Trick it, You can’t Buy it, you can’t Beat it or Defy it.  Time for each of us Starts the second we are born and the Count down to our End begins.

Questions like, “Why are we here?, What is our purpose?, and Where did we come from?”, seem to Haunt us Relentlessly.  We want to be Seen.  We want to be Heard. We are constantly chasing that 15 minutes of Fame.  But there’s no Rush, we have no Fears, Because we’ve got Nothing but Time!

Then, something Happens.  The Years fly by and we Start to notice our Age.  The older we get we begin to acknowledge that Time is no longer our Friend.  Thoughts of “Where will we Go? and What will we Do?” replaces those questions of our Youth.  For some...that is when the  Fear sets in because we know we can Never go Back.

But Why fear the end?  Nothing lasts forever.  It’s our Mortality that makes each Second so Special.  We need to Enjoy the time we have.  Stop worrying about what’s at the End of the Journey.  The Journey is Truly the best part.

The Experiences we go through.  The Lessons  we learn.  The Wisdom we Earn. The Adventures that come with Every single day.  Most of all, the People!  The People that come and go, in and out, just passing through or here to Stay.  They are the Random bits of the Equation that makes life Unsolvable.

I have always felt that we are Here as Witnesses as well as Participants.  How will We Reshape the Reality around us and what will we See along the Way?  Every action causes a Reaction.  But if no one is around to see it… did it Really happen?

Do we simply Influence from a distance, from behind some computer screen, or do we Step in, get our Hands dirty, and help Add to someone else’s Journey?  Thus, Changing their equation.

We must never hold back. Tell someone You Love them, Every single day! Be it a Stranger, a Family member or a Friend.  Love moves in Mysterious ways.  You never know what someone may be going through and those 3 words may Rewrite their day.  Then, just like that, you are a Participant in one of Their adventures.

We are here for such a Short time and it gets Shorter with every passing Second.  Don’t shield your Feelings.  Don’t hide your Pain.  Don’t let Life keep you Shackled and Alone, all because something took away your Joy.

Step back into the Sun and Feel our Creators Light.  It gives us Energy, it gives us Strength and it gives us the Will to fight.  A simple “Hey, I was just thinking about you” can put a Smile on someone’s Face.  We can’t let Fear or Pride keep us from reaching out to someone, all  because of a simple Misunderstanding or Mistake.

Before you know it, Your time is up, your Journey is over, and the adventure of Life is Done.  Now, you must give the Boatman his Coin to ferry you across the way.  There in the distance, the Pearly Gates await and it’s Time to get in Line to be Judged.

Finally, it’s Your turn on the Scales of Judgment. What will you see when the reels of your Life are played.  Will it be Regrets, Will it be Missed chances, or Will it be a Life well Lived to the fullest.

So live each day like it’s your Last.  Making sure when it’s Your turn, You can stand Tall with Pride, and say, “That’s the Person I Was.  So let me In, so I may Pass, and let my New Journey in the After-Life begin.”
